I don't think anyone is surprised by who our latest ACE could be...KNOX JONES! Knox was playing with Kirk Anderson this past weekend at Wilderness Ridge when his perfect shot came. It was a solid 6-iron...not a 3-wood...from 160 yards on the 15th Hole. Congrats my man...still shocked this is only your 4th HOLE IN ONE!

This installment comes to us from the beautiful and historic Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey. Nick Glasz took this pic while playing with some buddies this past week. Thank you for sharing Nick and way to represent CCL!
They are officially the CHAMPS again! We are very proud of the these young men and women. Now, a few words from their Head Coaches...
"We just wrapped up an amazing PGA Junior League season! The best part was seeing the kids all work together, support each other and be fans of everyone on the team. The team began practice back in April and our attendance was awesome during the entire season. We had to set some kind of record with attendance at the four events as we only had 2 juniors miss an event during the season! The juniors showed a commitment to practicing on their own, playing golf together and welcoming new team members. This all culminated in an amazing season where the team won 2 events, tied for 1st in one event and finished 2nd in the final event. These high finishes during the season ultimately won them the league championship and trophy! Thank you to all the parents for their support and commitment during the season, without them none of this would be possible. Thank you to Nolin for stepping in as a coach and helping lead the team. Thank you to our captains, Henry Myhre and Jack Flynn for their help and commitment during the season. The future is bright for the CCL PGA Junior League team and I’m honored to have played a role in an fantastic season. I look forward to the 2026 season, Go Blackshirts!" -Jeff Henry
”When looking back at this years PGA Jr. League season, many different highlights and great memories come to mind. However, winning the season long tournament was by far the best memory with the team. The kids put a lot of effort into playing to the best of their ability and even showed great teamwork through practice and tournament days. Our team captains, Jack and Henry showed great leadership, which elevated our team even higher. With this being my first year coaching the team with Jeff, it was such a honor working with this kids. Thank you to all the Juniors on the team and to the Parents for their unwavering support." -Nolin St. Onge ”When looking back at this years PGA Jr. League season, many different highlights and great memories come to mind. Mark Nelson did a full bag fitting with Jeff recently and chose all new Ping equipment! Mark chose the G440 woods and hybrids and G730 irons and wedges. Mark liked the feel and light weight of the graphite shafts. Getting that Hole In One during Swingfest definitely helped subsidize part of the bill;) Great work Mark, now, how's next?!
Matches have officially started at Pioneers for our 2025 CCL Play with the Pros Challenge! We aim to play with over 150 men and women throughout the next few months. I had to share this pic from my first of thirteen rounds this past Tuesday. While playing with Gina Cotton and Judy Hoppe, Lori McClurg holed out from about 50 yards on the 8th Hole! And then? I chipped in from just off the green right on top of her ball ha. You don't see that very often;) What did we shoot? Well, that is a secret until all the ladies groups have played!
Okay, so not at CCL...but Sand Hills GC is a good alternative! Steve Morrow had an ACE on Hole #17 from 152 yards with his 5-iron! He was joined by buddies Mike Furmanski, Doug Farrar and Gene Brake this past week. Stevie is fight hard to get this to count towards the Hole In One Club but we are sorry sir, we are not going to allow it;) Congratulations!
Over the past 20 years, this was hands down the best team I've had a pleasure to work with! In the end, one man stood out amongst the rest. Congrats to Carter Lavene for being our 2025 MVE!
"I’m incredibly honored to be named MVE for Spring/Summer 2025. It’s truly a privilege to be part of such a dedicated team here at the Country Club of Lincoln. I recently completed my second year working at CCL and will be entering my senior year at Lincoln Southwest High School. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to connect with and learn from all the wonderful members of the CCL community." -Carter
Who is the "Iron Man," you might ask? Well, it's none other than Rich Claussen! Here are his results from this year... amazing!

CCL has many ROCKSTARS on our team but this one stands out in our short 2025 season. Nicole Davis has been an amazing teammate this season and is deserving of our 2025 MVE honor. Thank you for all the hard work Nicole!!!
"I graduated from UNL this past May and will begin teaching English at Millard North High School this August. During my two years with CCL golf, I’ve made great memories with the members by sharing laughs, receiving advice, and trading book recommendations. Thank you to everyone who made this an enjoyable experience!" -Nicole
We are proud of our TEAMMATE! He was just crowned as the Nebraska PGA Junior Match Play Champion! A few words about CCL from our champ....
“As a staff member at the Country Club of Lincoln, I had the unique opportunity to access the course on Mondays. That time was invaluable, not just for hitting balls, but for practicing under real conditions across 18 holes. Regular rounds with members and coworkers pushed me to perform under pressure and sharpened my focus shot by shot.
Beyond the golf, being part of CCL meant being surrounded by successful, driven individuals. Interacting with leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals helped me grow in confidence, poise, and communication. I’m incredibly thankful to be part of such a special club and community!" -Ben
