We've had a LOT of interest in what has been dubbed "Bushwood Day," the last day of play at CCL before the course renovation! Finally, here are the details...with some surprises yet to come;)

-Tee Times can be booked per our normal tee time guidelines, 7 days out starting at 6:00am on weekend days. That means signup for Bushwood Day starts this Sunday the 29th!
-GUESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED, MEMBERS ONLY ALL DAY!
-YOU MUST PLAY WITHIN OUR NORMAL 4 HOUR PACE OF PLAY!
-Juniors WITHOUT adults are not allowed until after 2PM!
-Our Dress Code will be relaxed however, a shirt and bottoms are required and...NO swimsuits!
-Carts will be allowed anywhere EXCEPT Bunkers and Water Hazards!
-Single players will NOT be allowed to take up an entire tee time and 2somes will be paired up due to the demand of play!
-Multiple divisions will be available for signup on the #1 Tee including...

Single Low Net / Single Low Gross / 2 Person 1 Net / 2 Person Scramble / 4 Person 2 Net / 4 Person Scramble

-These events are for ADULTS only and you MUST have a valid GHIN to be eligible for NET divisions.
-The winner(s) of each division will get the opportunity to be the first to play the golf course when we reopen in 2026!
-There will also be several games and prizes throughout the day but they will not be announced until Bushwood Day!

9-Hole and 18-Hole Association Ladies! It's a little crazy that this is happening several months earlier than normal;) Please RSVP with Kim in the main office if you are able to join us for lunch on Tuesday, July 1st. Lunch and Yearly Awards will be at 12:45 p.m. We will hold our NORMAL signup on ForeTees for the 8:30am shotgun for the 9 & 18 Hole Associations that morning. 9H ladies will play 9 holes and 18H ladies will play 18 holes. We are hoping for a great turnout for golf and lunch as we celebrate the end of our 2025 season!

P.S. For anyone wanting to watch our HORSERACE FINALE, it will begin at roughly 2:30pm on Saturday!

It just took one hole for Mark Nelson to warm up and set the stage at the 5th Hole this past Thursday. The Hole In One prize on #5 during Swingfest is worth $10,000! That pressure meant nothing to Mark as he stepped up with his 6-ron from 167 yards. As he watched the ball roll up to the hole he realized he's never had a HIO before...then, magic! Congratulations Mark, you hit an ACE on the biggest stage!

A huge congratulations goes out to our CCL juniors, Zach Erstad and Teddy Strope for their wins at the Nebraska PGA Junior Championship! Teddy was the winner of the 13-15 year old boys division by firing a 147 (+5) score at Fremont Golf Club. Zach was the winner of the boys 16-18 year old division by firing a -2 under 36 holes and the overall winner after the first playoff hole! Zach qualified for the National event held at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana on July 29 - August 1, 2025. Great work men and good luck Zach, we will be cheering for you!

Jack Flynn: (Picture on the left, winner of the 2024 Brian Bettenhausen Award)

Jack works very hard on his game and spends a large amount of time on the practice range and chipping/putting greens. He also loves to play and work on his game on the course, and is very supportive of the other juniors he plays and associates with. Jack is currently one of the captains of the CCL Blackshirts’ PGA Junior League team. His practice habits and respect toward other team members makes him a great role model and he is always willing to partner with anyone on the team. Keep it up young man!

John Bryson: (Pictured on the right, winner of the 2024 Matt Hayes Award)

John had a very consistent 2024 tournament season. He finished T-17 at the Nebraska Junior Amateur, 13th at the Capital City Championship, T-6 at the Central Nebraska Junior Amateur and 3rd at the Kearney Junior Classic. His consistent play and great finishes was indicative of his fantastic summer season. We can't wait to report on all he has, and will do, in 2025!
